Happiness exists
Nogah Lord

1. Happiness is - being here now. I experience happiness whenever I reconnect with my Self.  When my attention is focused on the present, I reconnect with all parts of myself. I cannot enjoy this moment if my attention is focused on some future or past moment. Happiness, satisfaction, peace, love and security are present when I am one with God. Oneness with God / Love, can only be felt in the present.

2. Happiness is my natural state when I am not distracted. When I am able to stay in observation mode without identifying with what I see and hear; and when I can let go of my need to be somewhere other than where I am at this moment; and I have no need that others will be different,  then I am free and available to have a complete experience and see the perfection which exists here, now.

3. Happiness or joy will surface when I truly understand the lessons I am undergoing in both my inner and outer worlds. I am the one that chose these lessons in order to learn and grow; I can either accept things or resist them. I choose which voice to believe and how to interpret things. I decide whether to let what's bothering me accumulate, or be courageous and communicate. I choose when and how to communicate.

4. Beauty and perfection already exist. I am not able to see beauty and perfection when I am disconnected from my Self. I disconnect in the following ways: when I allow myself to be controlled by my mind which is in the habit of comparing, resisting and judging; when I allow myself to be swept by thoughts concerning the past or the future and believe that the past will be repeated again and that I have no control over my destiny; and when I make efforts to change things in my external world without understanding which thoughts and beliefs caused them. All of the above prevent me from experiencing happiness.

5. No person or condition in my outer world can prevent me from being happy or give me happiness. Both happiness and suffering stem from within, from my attitude. Most of my suffering is unnecessary. It comes from a wrong attitude or a wrong interpretation of what is happening. The only right interpretation of what is, is that everything comes from God and it's all for good. Everything that happens to me, exactly as it happens, is designed to awaken me and advance my development. And so, it serves me.

6. The attitude that what is happening needs to be different, disturbs my natural state of peace and security. When I allow myself to feel the pain when there is pain, to enjoy when I am feeling good, feel the peace when I am at peace, be with the anger when I am feeling angry and be with the fear when I am feeling fearful and so on… and I allow others to have their experiences, I will then be able to experience happiness and satisfaction more often.

7. All the happiness I want and seek is here with me all the time. Once I decide to unconditionally accept whatever happens within me and around me, whether I understand it or not, and when I practice acceptance daily, I will be free of the world of duality, contradiction, limitation, resistance, and frustration and enter the world of harmony, peace, creativity and ease. I will enter the world of unlimited potential and possibilities.

8. Happiness can only be experienced in present time, when all my attention is focused on this moment. Every time I am able to maintain my attention on my breath-flow, which connects me with my soul, I return to peace. Peace brings clarity and clarity enables me to see clearly without distortion. I can then see what was, what is, and what will be. When I see the perfection of all my experiences and of all that I am learning, I will be happy and content.
